Dr. Shivam
D.M.D
Born and raised in India, Dr. Shivam is from the East living in Manhattan where he earned his dental education at NYU College of Dentistry, where he distinguished himself academically and professionally. He was recognized with the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor at NYU Dentistry for being amongst the top 5% in school and received the Best Student of the Jones Society Award, honors that reflect his commitment to excellence and dedication to the field of dentistry.
Dr. Shivam enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and takes pride in helping patients achieve and maintain their overall oral health. He has a particular interest in surgical dentistry, including extractions and dental implants, as well as root canal treatments. He enjoys the variety that general dentistry offers and strives to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
For Dr. Shivam, one of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry is being able to help patients overcome dental concerns, restore their oral health, and leave the office with a healthier, more confident smile. He believes in taking a thoughtful and thorough approach to patient care and building lasting relationships with the people he serves.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shivam enjoys staying active and working out. He has always had a strong passion for sports and has earned medals competing in volleyball, soccer, and cricket. He values discipline, consistency, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle—qualities that he brings with him into both his personal life and his approach to dentistry.
Dr. Scott Bares
D.D.S. & Owner
Dr. Bares received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2006. Dr. Bares is a native of Freeport, Illinois and a graduate of Freeport High School.
Dr. Bares specializes in all aspects of General Dentistry, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Bares is certified in advanced CAD/CAM technology that enables patients to enjoy chairside restorations for all-ceramic crowns in a single visit. He also is trained in Invisalign® procedures as an option for straightening teeth.
Dr. Bares and his wife, Kelly, are sole owners of 10 dental offices, including Forreston Dental, 2 Freeport Dental offices, Lincolnway Dental, Peoria Dental, Oregon Dental, Rochelle Family Dental, Byron Dental, OMS of Northwest Illinois and Riverside Dental.
